Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens. The Comparisons. To be honest, I thought the 24-70mm f/2.8L II would be easy to declare the winner and optically, it is the best of this list. However, the two f/4 lenses perform better in front of 50.6 megapixels than I expected. The f/2.8L II is slightly sharper over then
I might consider between Sony FE 24-105G and Tamron FE 28-75 for native mount and lighter lens for traveling compared to EF 24-70L/2.8 II that weight/size similarly with adapter as FE 24-70 GM, but I don't expect either one can compete to EF 24-70L/2.8 II in optical performance.
The definition of versatility, the Nikon F-mount 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM from Sigma is an Art-series zoom covering a useful wide-angle to short-telephoto range. Featuring a constant f/4 maximum aperture, this lens strikes an ideal balance between a portable form factor along with a bright enough design for working in available lighting conditions.
@marc Sound siliy to buy 'old' lens for modern bodies, but the fact is for sub 30MP cameras like R8, using cheap EF L less is not a bad combo. For R8, I keep recommend non-video shooters grab the EF 24-70L f4 instead of the RF24-105. That 'old' lens is sharper, has IS, has macro(0.2m close up focus) and cheap.
The new FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens weighs in at approximately 663 grams (23.4 oz), making it the lightest lens in its class 1. When combined with one of Sony’s compact E-mount bodies, it gives photographers and videographers a far more mobile, manageable camera system that greatly increases their shooting flexibility.
. I would only recommend the RF 24-70 if you're a professional shooter. It's heavy and big, especially on the RP (it's more balanced on the larger bodied R6), and its ridiculously expensive. It has fantastic image quality, but Canon really did well with the RF 24-105 f4, and most people can't tell the difference between images created with the two.
Hello everyone , for my canon r5 I have the opportunity to purchase either the ef 24-70 2.8 V2 (I already have the adapter ) Or the RF version of the 24-105 f4 for the same value for those who own both , I can only assume they are about the same size & length .
Canon-R with 24-105 RF and Canon 5D4 + 24-105 EF II and did some pixel peeping. I was not able to find any noticeable difference in sharpness in real world pictures. If it were anything I would use it for, it would be for the control ring, lighter weight, very minimal focus breathing and silent AF mechanism.
The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z lens can be ordered now for $3,000 and will start shipping next month. Canon Offers L Lens Alternatives with New EF 400mm f/4, EF 24-105mm and EF-S 24mm
The 24-105 has Dual Nano USM (vs. single), a focus range limit switch, Lens Function buttons, 5.5-stop IS vs. 5.0, a tripod ring, a fixed size, compatibility with the PZA, and a much higher price. The other lens we should compare is the Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM Lens. This lens shares the focal length range but lacks the 2x wider f/2.8
